Booboo Designs is a small, family run business, based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

 

We design and hand make trendy shopping trolleys and funky bags which are anything but ordinary.

 

Oh my gosh, this is going to be dull. I can't think of anything clever or funny. My brain has fried and I am having a serious 'sense of humor failure'.

 

Maybe it's because I'm putting my heart and soul into Booboo Designs.

Obsessing to the point I need to set alarms to remind me to do basic things like eating or collecting the children from school or... please, not another 'look' as I rush in through the school gates to find it deserted apart from my forlorn children and a less than impressed teacher, that really isn't funny.

 

What else can I tell you... I know, the name... Naming the business proved to be one of many challenges.

It caused many 'discussions' in our house, "what is wrong with Marmaduke" my husband asked, that took the smile off my face when I realized he wasn't joking, or was that when we were trying to name our first born. Booboo is our pet name for one of our sons, he has another... but Toxic Waste was as unsuitable as Marmaduke.

 

Our other son is pretty cool too (I just wanted to mention him).

 

Seriously though, all our products are designed by me (number 1 princess) and then handmade.

The only other place my products can be found at the moment is at the fabulous Sunday craft market in Hitchin town square. This means that anything you see is fairly exclusive. We have no plans to go mass produced.

 

I love what I do and I think this shows in my work.

 

I also sincerely hope you enjoy the Booboo experience as much as we do.
